Rob Denton is a New York City–based lighting designer with over twenty years of experience creating dynamic environments for musicals, plays, and operas across the United States. His work blends artistry and precision, bringing bold visual storytelling to stages nationwide.
Some of his recent design credits include: Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock Back to the Rock Live (National Tour); Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (Off-Broadway), The Jerusalem Syndrome (Off-Broadway), Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Jersey Boys (The Muny); The Mystery of Edwin Drood, A Complicated Woman (Goodspeed Musicals); Lizzie and Fun Home (TheaterWorks); The Lehman Trilogy (Capital Repertory Theatre).
Rob’s upcoming designs include: Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Jersey Jersey Christmas Show! (George Street Playhouse); Circus Fire (TheaterWorks); Come From Away (Theatre Raleigh); Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (Arizona Theatre Company); The Muny 2026 Summer Season.
Rob holds an MFA in Lighting Design from University of Maryland and a BFA in Theatre Design from Webster University.
