Rob Denton is a Texas-born, American lighting designer living in New York City. Some of his recent design credits include: The Will Rogers Follies (Goodspeed Musicals), Daughter of the Regiment (Atlanta Opera), La Bohème (Opera San Antonio), White Guy on the Bus (59E59), Oslo (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), Girlfriend (TheaterWorks), Centennial Gala, Jersey Boys, Meet Me in St. Louis (The Muny), Disney’s Beauty and The Beast (Maltz Jupiter Theatre), and Disney’s Beauty and The Beast (TUTS).
Rob's upcoming designs include: Guys and Dolls, Cinderella, Footloose, Matilda (The Muny), Tosca (Opera San Antonio), and Dracula (Maltz Jupiter Theatre).
Associate design credits include: Blackbird, Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn, A Delicate Balance (Broadway); Assistant design credits include: The Book of Mormon (First National Tour); Death of a Salesman (Broadway).
Rob holds a BFA in Theatre Design from Webster University and an MFA in Lighting Design from University of Maryland.
Rob is currently a Visiting Adjunct Professor of Concert and Lighting Design at Webster University Conservatory of Theatre Arts in St. Louis, MO.
